The Mississippi Armadillo trap works well if it’s scented by a previously caught ‘dillo.
My neighbor has one similar,someone built it for him.To catch the first one he had to make a funnel with boards to get one in.
After that the scent would attract them without putting up boards.
He has caught quite a few.
I recently replaced the bottom for him with 3/4” in plywood as his previous catches had scratched holes in it trying to get out.
Wire cage traps don’t work well,they can tear one up trying to get out.
