Meh it just depends I’ve seen middle schoolers throw 80-82 and never get to 88 I’ve seen high school freshmen hit 78 barely in a few years are mid 90s

It is not uncommon for an early maturer to dominate baseball. Our city, back in the day, had a set of twins that were shaving at 12 years old. Yeah, the dominated baseball and beat me and my friend out at the city wide pitch, run, and throw competition. But, they didn't grow much after that and we all passed them up by 16.

Bottom line, sometimes its just the stroke of luck that leagues get 2-3 of these type of 12 year olds on their team and can go play in national championship tournaments etc.
