Anyone have any experience with this? I'm considering rolling my 401k into my TSP. Only reason being that the fees in TSP are more favorable. I'd say rate of return is negligible difference.
What yall think? Worth the move or let it be?

Myself and my brother inherited two TSP accounts. TSP is the worst organization by far I have ever dealt with. It's like they went to the DMV in Detroit and said we want to hire your worst employees. The death in the family was in January and we still haven't received payment from one account.

One of the accounts could not be rolled over into an inherited IRA and we had to pay hefty taxes due to TSPs policy.

My understanding is Fund C and S have higher fees than a lot of Vanguard funds .

I was actually considering doing the opposite and rolling my TSP into my vanguard IRA. Admittedly I haven't pulled the trigger yet though.

TSP has gotten worse since new servicer took over last year. I plan to get out soon but dont trust they wont delay/ F up the IRA rollover. Have you considered rollover into IRA instead for lower fees and more investment options? Only drawbacks I can think of are prorata rule if you want to do backdoor Roth and funds wont be accessible using rule of 55 unless tou roll the IRA into TSP before leaving job.
