Correct.
MLS sits on par with the better teams in the English Championship, and lesser teams in League 1. Sadly, that still puts it as a Top 10 League in Europe. Vast is the gulf.

My son and I saw Newcastle v. Brighton in Red Bull Stadium during this summer league tour. The quality of play for what amounted to a friendly on a hot and humid night was beyond anything I've witnessed in the MLS ever.
