Pond treatment for lillies & vegetation

I have a 1/2 acre wood duck pond in south mississippi that has been completely taken over with lilies and other vegetation (guessing hyacinth?). Would like to spray the pond to kill the majority of this stuff. Any recommendations on the best herbicide to use for this? Open to any other method suggestions as well

for spray 2-4D and a surfactant
Lillies will die some with the spray but this stuff seems to work better and lasts longer

I use shoreline herbicide around the perimeter of my pond so I don't have to weed eat it every time. Its been awhile since I researched it but they do make herbicides specifically for ponds. If I remember correctly its not the chemical that kills the weeds that is harmful to the fish but the surfactant in the mix. It can get on their eyes and blind them.

Diquat 3oz per gallon of water. Spray every 3 weeks until first frost.

You’ll want to get an aquatic herbicide like Renovate. We had a pond that was covered with lillie’s several years ago and hit it a few times with this stuff. Haven’t had an issue since.
