I should add:
Parking is free on most parts around campus outside of the parade grounds. We usually park in the West Campus Apartments parking lot or anywhere around there. The closer to Highland Road the better for easier exit. Depending on where you stay will determine where to park. Parking is also free in the Hayfield Lots behind the softball stadium/near vet school. Park there if you plan on staying that way OR want a direct shot towards downtown. Parking by the UREC is fairly easy as well if you get there before noon. Weather should be nicer than it is now. Parking anywhere will require some walking, but UREC & Hayfield lots will be 10-15 minutes minimum. Hayfield is easier to get to afyer leaving the stadium.
Another posted about bringing your own chest. I've taken my 20 can insulated bag and hidden it in bushes before walking into a stadium and haven't gotten it stolen yet, so that's something you can risk. You can always get a cheap foam box from Rouses but that can be a pain to walk with since they are shite. I don't know how much you plan on drinking, but if you plan on being there, pack some Liquid IV or something similar. It is almost guaranteed to be warm in early November. Liquor and mixers are much easier to manage than beer.
Florida is a fun home game. It gets packed early. Try to make it early and get your 20k steps in to make the most of the experience. You'll see people grilling and smoking alligator which is an awesome site to see. If you're about it, drive thru daiquiris are a solid choice for hot day drinking, but the sugar might catch up.
As I mentioned in my previous post, I would focus more on seeing the pageantry behind an LSU home game. March down Victory Hill. Louisiana Saturday Night & Callin' Baton Rouge during warmups. Pregame. If you get to campus early enough, you'll find a way to make the most of your time simply by just walking around and soaking it all in before kickoff.
