I know you said you prefer Colorado, but you should definitely consider Park City / Deer Valley in Utah. Less than an hour drive from SLC airport. Can stay in Park City and ski either resort. Much lower elevation than the Colorado resorts, so fewer elevation sickness symptoms to worry about. Also, Deer Valley doesn't allow snowboarders, which is a major plus if everyone in your party are skiers. We used to go to Colorado religiously until we tried Utah and now we go there pretty much every season. My $.02.

Yeah, if transportation convenience is important Colorado isn’t easier than Park City

Thanks for the thoughts. We were primarily thinking of fight time but will go back and include Park City / Deer Valley.
