I think it's time for us to really recruit the DFW harder than ever. Schools like Duncanville,Desoto,Denton Guyer,Denton Ryan,South oak cliff,Lancaster,Micknney,Allen and Aledo always have top talent and programs. We already have a strong foot hold in Houston but we must turn up the heat in Dallas and beat Texas and A&m for kids we must be able to recruit TX like an OU use to. I believe this will catapult us into a dynasty program. Everytime we see TX or A&M on the field we have not just win but embarrass them make them non-existent in the new SEC.

Thank you kind sir, TX should be ours and the only way to do that is beat TX and A&M everytime we see them. How can Ohio state,Alabama,Uga, and Clemson come in there and get the "TOP" talent every year but we can't.

I'm simply saying they have to turn it up notch,I'm not oblivious to the fact they do, they just have to gey better and be more dominant as a border state to Tx.

No need. The entire staff lurks this board for ideas on game planning and recruiting tactics.

I'm sure they've already seen this and begun implementing OP's thoughts as of this morning.

We've been searching for the path to becoming a "dynasty" program since Saban showed us what a dynasty looks like. It's the only true dynasty of modern times. Miami's run during the late 80s-2002 was the closet thing we'd seen prior.(FSU and Nebraskas runs lacked titles for all the wins). So we are searching for something we've never been or have ever seen pre Saban at Bama. Think about that. It's good to hope but even Texas with all their resources has never come close to that standard. They've ruled DFW over the years and have the entire state of Texas to fall back on. We have Louisiana, great but small in numbers of the type of talent needed on a yearly basis. Going national is the way. Every program that has approached dynasty like levels ruled the country in recruiting. Top 3 classes not top 10.

I agree to a certain extent, but in the new SEC we have to be dominant in TX not just good. Think OU when they were a dominant program they ruled Tx.We are border state why not us.

Stupid comment. “Texas should be ours” no it shouldn’t. They have two big schools there and most kids will go there just like Louisiana kids pick LSU.

To say that other schools go into Texas and get top talent but we don’t is another dumb comment. We got the best linebacker in college football from Texas last year and just picked up one of the nations best running backs.

I'm seeing people on X(twitter) sound like LSU getting someone today. A surprise it seems don't know how true.

Why not us OU done it for years, you think a young player would rather be in boring Ou than Baton Rouge LA. Ou almost always use to beat the sh*t out of TX and A&M. That's how they became the dominant program in TX recruiting and the big 12. With all these schools now going to the SEC all those players who wanted to play in big 12 region are not up for grabs, but we gotta beat them 3 outta 4 times when we play them. We want the top guys or be able to pick who we want. Like a Clemson getting thier Qb from Austin or one the best coner from Landcaster or a 5 star Wr east tx, Ohio state getting Garrett Wilson and Jackson Smith N at WR or Jeff okuda even Quin Ewers pick Osu first, Uga getting the beat LB and Dl in TX this year, Alabama getting Jalen Hale last year, Fla getting the best safety and Qb in Texas.East runningback Adrian Peterson famously saying he pick OU because they compete for championships and Ou got the best back in TX this year. You can go down the list we should be more dominant in TX. Far as Harold Perkins goes he's a Katrina baby TX doesn't get credit for him, that's the reason why we got him in the end and A&M pivoted and threw the house at Jacoby Matthews even though he really didn't want to go there but money talks. If Clemson,Ou,Osu,Alabama and Uga can do we should be able to.

OU gets half their roster from DFW because it is only a three hour drive and they have a very large alumni base there. Baton Rouge is 7-8 drive which makes it almost impossible to drive to many games if you have to work on Monday.

The key to LSU being successful is very simple.

WIN!

If LSU can consistently beat or simply split games with Bama, eaTme, Texas, UF and UGA we keep LA kids home.

Saban's hold on LA kids is waning, he has been gone from here too long and they owned us for a decade.

LSU will be hugely successful if we simply keep the best of LA at LSU.

Hell, most of Bamas better teams recently are because of LA kids.
