Why are so many Protestant clergy involved in sex abuse? Abstinence is not required among them, yet they have higher numbers of sex abuse than Catholics according to insurers involved in payouts or lawsuits. Protestants have done a terrific of covering it up and there is not a massive bias against Protestants like there is against Catholics.
Do professions make pedophiles or do pedophiles choose professions with close unregulated contact with children? Protestant clergy, Catholic clergy, gymnastics coaches, teachers. They are not all required to abstain in their profession.
