same here, the floor nurse put the IV needle in my arm and the anesthesiologist connected the tubing with the Propofol. There were only 3 people in the treatment room with me, the Dr, his assistant(I assume she was a nurse) and the anesthesiologist

This is almost certainly wrong. The anesthesiologists supervise typically 4 rooms, while the CRNA’s actually intubate,administer the drugs, and monitor during the case.

There should have been the GI doc, a CRNA, a tech (assisting the MD), and an RN, if the room was staffed appropriately.

The anesthesiologist would only come to the room if the shite hit the fan.
