Elvis, the dog is only 7 months old. Surely this behavior can be corrected. Plus it’s a Lab not a pit bull; they’re not normally aggressive dogs.

Keep disciplining the dog if acts aggressive and you should be fine.

As far as food aggression, get your wife to go close to him when he’s eating and if he growls, slap the shite out of him. Eventually he will learn.

Dogs are like kids, sometimes they need discipline.

Sometimes the dog is a lemon and you have to get rid of it.

Male labs can be pretty hard headed and short fused. They definitely can be aggressive, and high bred pedigreed dogs can be kind of bred that way on purpose. No great hunting dog that ever lived was a pussy. It just takes a firm experienced owner to use them right and sometimes they can't be tamed down enough to be regular ol family dogs

Only dog I have been bitten by was my neighbor's lab. He was aggressive as shite. He jumped on me when I was 8 and bit my face and broke my collarbone. One inch to the left and my ear was a goner. Also another fact, best dog I've ever owned was a rescue lab pit mix. Dog wouldn't hurt a flea. Was my best buddy too. Hated car rides and water though, lol. Man I miss him.
