re: What are your earliest memories of hunting/fishing?

I believe this is the only thread I’ve read from start to present, great memories posted!
Fishing: Colyell Bay around any fallen tree with live shiners catching sacalait with the parents and sister all in a 15’ Monarch bateau with a 50 Mercury.
Hunting: of hwy 10 between St Francisville and Jackson. Sitting in pine straw on a cold morning with cowboy boots deer hunting with the old man. Eventually I started whining about can’t feel my toes, so dad took me back to the camp and another Hunter already was back with a fire going in the wood stove and had his feet inside the oven section trying to thaw out, lol. I still laugh about that morning back in the 70’s. Fun times.
