I don't mind the proposed limits. I would prefer min of 14".
Compared to other states we have it pretty good. It does piss me off Texas anglers can come here and keep 5-8x more fish than they can in Texas.
Texas (north)- limit-5, 15-25", 1 over 25" a day
Texas (South)- limit-3, 17-23", none over 23"
Miss- limit-15, 15" min
Alabama- limit-6, 15-22", 1 over 22" a day
Fla (GOM)-limit-5, 15-19"
Fla (S. Atlantic)-limit-2, 15-19"
Fla (Atlantic)- limit-5, 15-19"
Georgia- limit-15, 14"
S.C.- limit-10, 14"
There is a reason every other state has a min of at least 14"....yet LA won't make the easiest fix it can make with this species...
at 14" all female trout have spawned once and some twice!
science says at 12" approx 75% of females spawn once.

Comparing Louisiana to other states is comparing apples and oranges. The fisheries couldn’t be any different.
