Why do people take kids under the age of four or so anywhere except for places meant for them? Of course they need to get out, get some fresh air, and of course parks and playgrounds and sandboxes exist for them.

But I was at the National Basketball Hall of Fame yesterday and there were about 10 moms pushing strollers, kids crying, miserable, mom is miserable, and no-one is enjoying the museum and of course the child won't remember it.

If you have a baby, sorry, stay home for a few years or get a sitter for a 24 hour break at a local hotel with your spouse, but long trips unless it is a life and death emergency should be considered out.

We brought our under 4 kids not national parks. We kept hikes short and had a bale out option in case the kid wasn't having the tent.
Also, kids melatonin helps.
Many parents are just bad people, regardless of having kids.
