Thinks of going to check it out this year. I know it isn’t as big as some tournaments, but curious how it was with beer and food vendors. Just wondering if it’s worth checking out or if I’m wasting my time.

Can't help with past experiences at this tournament but am following this thread cause I'll be attending for the first time.

I’ve gone the past several years.
It’s a decent time. Not many big names. Pretty easy to get close and watch a lot of the course.
If you go Thursday/Friday, you’ll almost feel like there’s nobody there.
Be prepared to walk a lot.
You’ll have to ride a bus from the mall to the course unless you know someone with vip parking.
I’m usually spent after about 3-4 hours.

I went last year and will likely be back again this year. I learned last year that Harry Higgs uses some choice language after 3 putting and I was so close it felt like he was cussing me. There is a bit of walking, but I was fortunate to be invited to a hospitality tent with free food and booze, so that is where I parked it most of the day!

I’ve been a number of times over the last 10 years or so. A banker friend of mine usually gets us tickets to their hospitality tents and the food and drinks are very good. We walk a few hours then just sit in the stands at 18 and watch them come in. It seems like every year more big names are coming to play.

Now with the tour moving the cut line top 70 for the playoffs there will be more big names having off seasons playing in an attempt to get in playoffs. You can get close to JT and see whats up with his game and get back to us and what he needs to do going forward...like hire Butch Harmon ...just saying

He has to do something. He’s a wreck.
