Terrible boudin and terrible service at their original location.
Told them I wanted some boudin to eat in the car and when I grabbed the wrapping paper it was in, it was cold. Crap boudin was frozen solid.
That boudin is not close to Billy's, Poche's, Best Stop, Karchner's, Don's etc. around Lafayette
I wouldn't call it "terrible" but if you've had boudin from the other places you listed, yeah...you're not gonna be impressed. Their boudin burrito isn't bad but again, depends on what you're used to. True GOOD boudin really starts around New Iberia IMO. Legnon's is damn good and it only gets better as you head west. Kartchner's and Billeaud's are my two favorites. If we're talking smoked, Ronnies in Hammond does a great job and Billy's does too.
eta: to address the OP...it depends on what you're used to. If you've ate boudin and cracklin' from Acadiana then you're gonna be hard-pressed to find anything "good" in that area. If you haven't, go get you some Best Stop from Rouse's.
