Actually, you are wrong. A class calculator of adding Durham, Watkins, Simmons, mckinley, Devin smith and cryer put us at 281. The last 3 cycles, 281 lands us at 8 in 2023, 6 in 2022, and 7th in 2021.
And that’s assuming you get absolutely no bump at all from Durham, Evans, McBryde, Callaway, Smith, or any others that are prime bump candidates when you look at their rankings on other services. LSU likely finishes around that 5-7 range imo.

Life aquatic already said he’s not wrong, so that’s that

We currently don't have the Composite avg. after adding the 3 top tier recruits(Durham,McKinley,Simmons) to make it into the top 5, but I won't give a second thought to someone's ranking. It will be a killer class if we get them. Period.
ETA: if those 3 committed right now, our composite goes to 91.11. There are 9 teams that would probably still be ahead of us, putting us at #10.(the algorithm is complex, and you can still conceivably be ahead of someone that has a higher composite). So we would be very close to probably 4 or 5 of those teams ahead of us. so if they were to sign some lower rated players(under 90.00 say, which is probable) we could slip above them. A lot of if's here so I say we'll finish anywhere from #13 to #6. Ga.,Bama,Ohio St. will be 1,2 & 3interchangeably. Probably won't be able to catch USC & Auby. Fla.,Tenn,& A&M are a possibility to pass, but my guess is 9 or 10.(if we sign the big 3)
But, like I said up front, if we signed those 3, I think our class could compete equally, or better, with #4-#12. and can beat 1-3 on a good day. This staff can coach up as good as anyone also, so I'm not worried. Would still be a KILLER SOLID class if we added the 3.
