Not even every school in the SEC was worth a shite in the 90s. Now every program, except pretty much Mizzou, is a Super Regional threat somewhat regularly.

Yeah there always used to be series like Vandy, Georgia, etc during the 90s that you could realistically count on sweeping most years. Heck even Arkansas was horrible for much of the decade.

The biggest factors for the SEC was the SECN and the amount of money brought in from the TV contracts.

Football and basketball drove the bus, but the money had to be spent somewhere. So nearly every program on nearly every SEC campus has seen a raise in standards. The SEC is on the verge of controlling football, baseball, women's basketball, gymnastics, softball, track & field, and I'm sure other sports as well.

A big reason why is the SECN and the ability for families to watch their relatives whenever they wants from any part of the country.

People in California can't even watch most Pac 12 games. You want to know why nearly every SEC baseball team has an impact player from California, that's why.
