Toy Story 2: Was Stinky Pete worth less because he was out of his box?

I know Woody was the prize in the collection but Stinky Pete was supposedly never opened. Would the Japanese buyer have seen that and lost his mind over Al trying to cheat him?

He probably would’ve flipped his shite had he seen them walking around and talking.

I’m in the minority but I think 2 is by far the worst TS (even 4 is a better overall movie IMO). I just didn’t care for the Stinky Pete/selling Woody thing, or the Zurg subplot either. I also don’t like when the toys do too much “real life” stuff, like crossing a busy highway/road or Bullseye literally outrunning an airplane. But the whole plot just felt sort of weak and lazy to me.

That being said, there are definitely some high points (the introduction of Jessie and Bullseye, and “When She Loved Me” is a top tier Disney song/clip) and it’s a very good movie. I just rank it 4/4 when most others around here rank it second or even first (which is nuts IMO).

probably.

I just had the conversation with my wife that it didn’t make sense that Woody was the hardest to find.

he was the star. they had to have made more Woodys than Stinky Pete’s and Bullzeyes

i’ll come here and defend Toy Story 2. in my opinion it’s the second best TS. it is fun, it is light, they found a good way to bring back Space Ranger Buzz.
