"checking out" is a guaranteed victory for the democrats
and yes, part of the reason we have Biden is because of all the "holier-than-thou" republicans who hate Trump, like MisplacedCuckeye, who wrote in candidates who had zero chance at winning instead of voting for Trump
And yet, they see nothing wrong with it. They take zero accountability for such stupidity.

I have talked to a lot of Republicans that refuse to vote for Trump, but will vote R for every other race on the ballot.

I'll vote Trump if he is the nominee but I also understand he is going to lose and lose big if he is the choice. He's not even trying to win and you fools can't get enough of him. It's amazing.
