JJ is not a better QB than Lee ... wasn't in High School and is not now. Those that know both of their talents and abilities know this to be true.
That said, JJ certainly has ability, just not as much potential as Lee. Lee will play at the next level, JJ will not. But it's no surpise that the backup is so popular with fans, that has always been the case and will always be the case (especially a backup that most fans have really not gotten to observe first-hand all that much).

Are you serious??? Do you really believe Lee will play NFL football? Man what a joke.

i don't think he is better now, but he does have more upside, he will definitly improve, Lee showed no improvement as the season progressed

Umm, yes, as do most pro scouts.

"But they also forget about JJ's interception returned for forty or so yards"
the one that went off a receivers hands?
"but they always seem to forgets Jl's brilliance in the Auburn game"
nevermind the rest of the year
and that brilliance was 11-22

I really didn't see all that much brilliance in the Auburn game. I saw a very good throw that helped us win the game. What I saw was a team that was able to take advantage of an actual running threat. One that I didn't see during the Ole Miss game. Comparing JL @ Auburn and JJ @ Ole Miss, their passing statistics were pretty similar. The big difference I see is that Charles Scott ran for 132 yards against Auburn and only 10 against Ole Miss. If you eliminate one aspect from an offensive arsenal, the other aspects become much more difficult to execute.

I like Lee, but how can you say this?

pisssed when people say the JJ is better than JL.
I don't get pissed - but I completely agree that calling JJ better than JL is a bit premature. I doubt that anyone who is claiming that saw the Troy State game.
quote:These are people that are unaware of the fact there are 10 people other than JL who are supposed to tackle the ball carrier when JL throws an interception.
. Whenever I say that all they say is "he threw a pick six"
Granted - JL's interception record is dismal. But that's it - it doesn't matter how many resulted in TD's - an interception is almost always the QB's fault - an interception returned for a TD is the fault of the entire offense.

And pro scouts also thought Ryan Leaf was a good quarterback.

Which pro scouts are you referring to exactly?

They'll both be good QB's. Just not now. Maybe next season, maybe...

Name one thing that Lee does better than JJ besides the deep ball.
