BCS JOKE

The BCS is a JOKE, not that it doesn't put the best two teams in the championship game, because I really think it does. At least better than when we had all the bowl tie-ins and just the polls.
It's a JOKE because they put the winner of the Big East and ACC in a BCS game regardless of their record or ranking. AND, each conference can only have two teams.
Because of this, we'll see teams like Boston College and Cincinnati taking spots that should rightfully go to Texas Tech, Ohio State and/or Georgia.

The system is flawed... Basically it's all about the money, and they know it.

explain to me what ohio state and uga have done to deserve to be in a bcs bowl.

and the Pac 10 DOES NOT DESERVE 2 teams in the BCS, but they're gonna get it.

I'm hoping that Oregon St. wins their conference and USC climb the polls to the #2 BCS spot. It will be funny to see USC play for the national title w/o winning their own conference.

Why would any LSU fan slam the BCS? There are two national titles LSU would not have if not for the BCS.
2003: USC gets both polls' #1 vote.
2007: I don't know...probably USC again for beating OSU in the Rose Bowl.

Beating Wisconsin, Michigan St., Illinois, S. Carolina and Tenneessee are bigger victories than Va Tech, Notre Dame, Florida St.,

Theorically, that could happen IF Florida St. beats Florida, then Florida beat Alabama. And Oklahoma or Texas losses to Mizzu on their championship game.

There needs to be a playoff using the BCS to seed the teams. There is a huge gap between the last game the bowls. Easily could have 12 team playoff throughout December.

I'd be for a 4 team playoff. Would only extend the season one game for 2 teams.

I am grateful that LSU won 2 NC's, but the BCS is not the best or most fair system possible for determining the NC. Period.

I guess people have forgotten what it was like before the BCS. LSU wouldn't have gotten a sniff in 07 and probably not in 03.
It's not perfect but it's not a beauty contest anymore at least.
There's going to have to be a playoff revolt for things to change though.
This is a great year to show how bad it is with Texas, TT, OU all trying to get one spot and no real tie break to settle it.

You sure about that. USC gets annointed queen almost every year before the season starts. On OTL on ESPN just a few minutes ago, they were discussing the BCS and a segment was started about what had to happen for USC to get in the NC game. They want that to happen so badly its disgusting.

Sounds more like a conference problem to me. BCS does have a way to settle it. Sounds like you just don't like the results.
