I feel so lost

My computer crashed almost two weeks ago. I lost every program, including Photoshop CS2.
I have been trying to use my nephews laptop when its available, and even though he has Photoshop CS4 on it, CS4 (and even CS3 for that matter) doesn't use Image Ready anymore for animated gifs. It only uses Fireworks, which my nephew doesn't have, and even if he did, I wouldn't know how to use it. PS CS4 is so different from CS2, I barely recognize it.
My desktop is being repaired, and my new laptop (insurance/backup for the next crash) is supposed to be in Wednesday. This process has sucked donkey ballz.
I feel so stagnant without a creative outlet. Things pop in my head that I want to create and I can't do diddly poo about it.

You can have my computer... I really don't know how to use it anyway... Kind of a waste.

Damn Freek, what a bummer.
Are they going to be able to recover any of your programs?
I have Fireworks and have used it for some gifs, I like the way it works for animations, but it isn't very good for image editing.
I might be able to answer some questions about using it if you need.
