Decent point other than most if the courses you named are not in BR. My problem is this-BREC levies a TAX on ALL of EBR. I’m not combing through their annual report or financials but I will bet you all day that golf is their number one (by far) most used facility. Sure Oak Villa for a portion of the year, maybe Liberty Lagoon for a few months, Highland and Independence and aome others for tennis and pickleball. I just asked that the budget and updates and renovations keep pace with what the tax payers use the most!

By this logic, Jacksonville public golf is relatively poor. But also Ponte Vedra (Sawgrass) / St. Johns / St. Augustine golf (World Golf Village) is great.

"Houston golf" is pretty limiting. Thankfully Memorial Park is in city borders (even though you have to reserve a tee time 3 weeks out). But The Woodlands golf and Sugarland golf are great. Same with Birmingham, Memphis, Nashville, etc.

Though, I do agree that I wish we had one or two more nice public courses in or just outside Baton Rouge city limits.
