re: Foreign vehicle owners: If American branded vehicles weren't such crap, would you buy one?

My problem with American branded vehicles is that quality and reliability are completely random, in my experience. I’ve owned three Chevy/GM’s, two were great, one was complete shite. I’ve had four Ford/Mercury’s, all were complete shite except one and it was only decent. I’ll never buy another Ford product. Wife had a Pontiac and a Jeep. The Pontiac was ok but just felt cheaply made, the Jeep was utter trash.

On the other hand, I’ve owned four Toyotas, and all of them have been great. I’ve owned two Nissans, one was great and the other was pretty good.
