Caught him and Gaga at The Cosmopolitan in Vegas in 2014 for NYE. Great performance and one of my favorite concert memories.

I read today that while serving in WWII he was part of the units that liberated the part of the Dachau Concentration camp and he participated in the Selma Marches.

absolute legend if he never sang a note.

What a great run. No tears on this one. You had all those guys from that era trying to catch Frank - Como, Dino, and so forth, but Tony Bennett was probably the best of that group.

-Served on the front lines during the last couple of months of WWII, including liberation of a concentration camp
-Pre-rock vocal legend whose career spanned over 7 decades
-20 grammy wins (when they were worth something)
-Worked well into his 90s
-Mentored by Mitch Miller
-Recorded duets with Frank Sinatra and Lady Gaga (and many, many others)
-61 studio albums, 83 singles

He was still doing shows up until this time last year. Crazy to think.
