Would never happen because the sheriff being given control means that he is responsible to the voters and not to a racist piece of shite former reporter.

One of the owners, Chez Ciccone has been an outspoken critic of Chief Paul and what he has called a ‘lack of transparency’ regarding the investigation.
frick it. Make THIS dude the new Chief.

If the department is keeping her parents in the loop on the status of the investigation then Ciccone isn’t entitled to any briefs or updates on the case. That’s for family.
Ok folks, follow me here...
Regardless of whatever Chez's status with the family may be today, AT THAT TIME HE WAS ABSOLUTELY ACTING ON BEHALF OF AND FOR THE FAMILY, and that is when Murphy Paul promised him a call back, which he never did.
So he has every right to be angry about Paul not calling him back THEN. I've seen no where that Chez is demanding information TODAY, he's just pissed about what happened THEN.
I'm not fussing at anyone, just trying to make clear what can easily be a confusing issue.

I'm no Paul Murphy fan but its his fault that these thugs are going out and murdering people?
If you show only minimal effort in solving crimes and convicting criminals, then YES it is on his back. These pieces of shite are realizing they can get away with anything because the most the police will do is post a statement on the news and social media saying "If you know anything, call us". You know damn well who knows and those turds aren't gonna call out anyone.
I certainly hope that one day, all of Broome's staff realize the crimes (including murders) that on resting on their shoulders. I hope they live their last 15 years of life not being able to sleep more than 20 minutes at a time and not be able to enjoy any of life's most simple pleasures due to the guilt!

It won’t be due to guilt because they don’t have consciences.
It would be due to living in a hell hole they had a big part in creating instead.

He’s got a lot to do with why the police force is decimated, which directly impacts…policing.
That's exactly what I was told by a former BRPD officer that retired early due to what was going on at BRPD. He said the incident that convinced him it just wasn't worth it anymore was being forced to patrol known troubled neighborhoods with his lights on but not the sirens. He felt as though "announcing" he was on patrol with the lights on was an invitation to get ambushed and not a risk he was willing to take.

I’m not defending the Chief in any way, I don’t live there, and have no dog in the hunt.
But from the way it sounds, the girl’s dad has no issue with the amount of info given to him by the Chief.
Her employer at the time of her death doesn’t warrant being given the same amount of information as the family.
There are right and wrong ways to handle situations, getting in an argument at a restaurant is probably the wrong way.

So if evidence were to present itself that Murphy Paul instigated the interaction, not the other way around, what would you say?
