Lol at the Josh's and Devious's playing hard arse games. Give me an easy mode and a leisurely stroll through Valentine, Blackwater, and New Austin.

"Hard games" are, as a rule, not my thing

But, I love video games, and I really appreciate and enjoy learning about the history of gaming. And love it or hate it, Dark Souls is a pivotal point in the history of gaming. With that said, it just wasn't something I ever worried myself about, because the Dark Souls series felt "old", and they just weren't my kind of game. Then Sekiro came out, then Elden Ring. I was seeing people saying that these games are among the best ever made, and other people saying they are vastly overhyped, etc, etc. And I found myself unable to form any opinion whatsoever on that narrative, and that irked the shite out of me. So here I am, grinding my way through Dark Souls Remastered. I skipped Demon Souls and plan on skipping Dark Souls II after this. Likely going to play Dark Souls III, then have a decision to make regarding whether I care enough to play Bloodborne, or whether it was time to move on to the two most recent games.

Currently making progress on the Four Kings. We'll see how frayed my nerves are once I finish DS1 and see if I need a break before moving on. I've been told Spiritfarer is nice and relaxing

The only reason I got started with the FromSoftware games was because I finally got my hands on the PS5 and after finishing Miles Morales I wanted something that was built for PS5....so I gave Demon's Souls a shot. Hard as shite but I loved the linearity of it. Was a good way to get started with the Souls games, IMO. Get the fundamentals down with that type of game and then learn to deal with each subsequent game as they become more and more open.
