I have a Toro that was given to me, very used, over 10 years ago. Every year I change the oil, sharpen the blade, and change the air filter. If it starts running rough I spray some carb cleaner in it. It’s so old the plastic wheels rotted off and I had to replace them. Runs like a top though.

Old ones are great. I wish I had kept my old Toro from the mid-1990's, 6hp B&S I/C flathead. Newer mowers are no where near the quality unless you spend a lot of money and even then the new engines suck. Plastic carbed B&S engines that tell you just to add oil and never have to change it just screams throw-away engineering. If my HRN ever dies I am going to put a Kawasaki engine on the deck and keep it going.
