I think it’s an ongoing process at the moment. Tate clearly has a vision of LSU being an excellent university in both the athletic arena, as well as the classroom.

I thought I would hate Tate when it was first announced that he’d become the president of the university, but he’s grown on me in the best way. I see academics improving over the course of the next 10-15 years.

I don’t know that LSU will ever be a top tier public university for academics, but they can certainly get to a place where academics aren’t viewed as a negative. Time will tell.
