I don't really care for it, and I think what it boils down for me is that the only reason I know that's Superman's logo is because I am familiar with the character. I wonder if we took away that previous knowledge, would anyone be able to tell that's supposed to be an S? It almost looks like like a slash inside a diamond.

It also feels weird that we needed a logo reveal. I get that Superman's logo is iconic, but was anyone making their decision to see the movie based on the logo? How many other characters outside Batman and Superman are we worried about the logo? Maybe the Punisher?

It's a conversation starter, as was Gunn's vote on "Red Shorts vs No Red Shorts". They're trying to generate some buzz, so anything different or possibly different about the character, they'll shoot it out and start some talk (and gage the responses).

I agree with this. Give us some footage or something. The logo doesn't look great but if the first trailer is awesome that won't matter to me in the least.
