Looking for some easy weekend fishing within driving distance of BR. I have some cheap poles and tackle but no boat or other equipment.

Any suggestions?

Definitely would be down with renting a cabin or something for the weekend. Thanks in advance!

Links to prior threads would be awesome.

Off the side of the road down Hwy 1 between Fourchon and Grand Isle. And surf fish the beach at Elmers Island. Galliano Inn or Bridgeside Marina if you need a room for the weekend

Big cats, swamp cats in the Mississippi. Can catch them by walking down the levee on river road. Pint of seagrams and chicken livers is all you need.

I saw a guy catch 12 bass from the public boat ramp and pier in New Roads last year.
