Tiger Band is no longer under the jurisdiction of the athletic department, so I don’t think Scott Woodward has any input over who gets the job. TGBFTL started to decline as soon as the School of Music took control of them.
My first call would be to the Auburn band director. He’s an LSU alum and former Tiger Band member. AU’s band is one of the top in the SEC.

Scott's first homerun move would be to get the band out of the Music Dept. and into the Athletic Dept.

Scott doesn't hire the band director. He doesn't know anything about the music department.
