Two reasons

1) the shite we sell as “food” in the US cannot be sold in other countries.

2) the health care system is so full of waste and abuse. Insurance costs are outrageous.

Corporate Profits above all else. That’s ultimately where we are as a country

This is true too.

A bag of saline can cost hundreds if you ever are fortunate enough to get a hospital bill. Ibuprofen can cost $20/pill. For fricking ibuprofen!

As Dr. James DiNicolantonio said, “Eating the standard American diet will have you stuck in an American hospital using your American healthcare insurance where you’ll be prescribed drugs from an American Pharmaceutical Company.”

They provide the problem and the “cure”

There’s a reason Americans can eat the same foods in other countries and not feel like shite.

Agreed. While capitalism is great, it's also a breeding ground for absolutely shitty people. Add in shareholders, and here we are... Absurd medical costs, shite food thats too expensive, self checkouts, layoffs, embarrassingly high cost for higher education, etc...
