in ground gunite pool. standard kidney bean shape. maybe 3.5 - 7 ft deep, tanning ledge super blue plaster color. have a 24" sheer descent waterfall feature with 2 additional spouts on each side. currently running pump 8am-5:30pm water temp running 91 deg this am. Ive read about running pump at night. Return Jet fountain sprayer/aerater thing. just wondering if anyone had any tips that worked to lower temps? (without spending $4-6K on a heater/chiller)

Spend the money on a chiller. I have one and my pool is at 86-87 all the time and I love it.

I shudder to even ask, but: what's it cost to run?

I, too, have a chiller. Pool is roughly 15k gallons. Pool temp at 86°. Electric bill has not increased by much. Best investment I have made in my pool since installing.
