College baseball is vastly different from 25-30 years ago. This team could probably get close to the HR with 97 bats. The pitching on this team is head and shoulders better down the stretch than 97
The amount of elite pitching 2023 faced is also far superior. I would bet every starting pitcher we faced makes it to the MLB.
In 1997 you had Matt Anderson from Rice as the only pitcher LSU faced that made it.
