That's the way it goes.
My '94 Ranger has A/C, but it's not worked for years on end. Get it fixed or recharged with freon, and by next summer, it's out again.
I simply got very accustomed, and now think of myself as a pu$$y for getting in another vehicle and turning on the A/C immediately. I have to get that truck running again.
