Yep what really was a savior was the wind blowing in and the umps with a much more generous strike zone than what we saw in SEC play.

if you walk guys at this level, they are gonna come around and score. This held true for every game I watched in regionals, supers, cws.
Also, plus counts make a huge difference. Pitching ahead in counts makes a big difference.
Don’t really like throwing “waste pitches” with guys that can’t afford to waste pitches.
Coaches did a good job of calling pitches our guys could throw. Our guys did well throwing those pitches. And I think, overall, we got a favorable zone from blue.
