1991 was amazing. I was in a Gainesville tavern just off the UF campus. Regular season. LSU beat UF. I went wild. Buddy reminded me yesterday I nearly got us killed (exaggeration).
1997 was at a wedding. Missed the walk-off. Good friend was marrying David Eckstein's sister. David was the one who told me of the walk-off. UF had lost and he flew back for the wedding.
2009 watched so many games with my wife (who passed 3 years ago). Though she was a UF fan, she also loved LSU baseball. We watched LSU super regionals in Vegas on our honeymoon in 93. We are both from Lafayette/Carencro. She really was a fan of Mikey Mahtook. I miss her, but she would be celebrating this win!
