I always hate this sort of penalty, it just makes no sense. Feel bad for the players who did it the right way and earned their spot/wins but something that had zilch to do with most of the team makes them all pay.
Really though, it’s just…I watched the games. I watched us win, “vacating” them doesn’t just change that history. What happened, happened.
Same thing as Reggie Bush’s Heisman. Getting whatever he got from people had zero impact on his play. I watched him be a generational college RB and the best player that year. The Heisman will forever be his, even if they want to “vacate” it 10 years later as compliance officers get their jollies.
