Uncle was a 1 star Admiral when he retired.
I worked for a living as an E-5.
Actually he busted his arse his whole career to get what he got.
I reflect sometimes on what could have been if I had chosen my military career over my marriage. In the end the marriage didn't work so I lost both.
Life lesson, If you want something, go for it. If it's really a dream to do something, don't give it up for someone else dream. Worst case is you try and fail. That's an honor that most people who never try would love to have.
Carry on.
