What is the point of Super League?
At the heart of the ongoing European Super League venture -- and it is still very much an ongoing venture -- there remain two major goals: to close the increasing gap between the Premier League and the richest non-English teams in Europe and, basically, to replace UEFA as the overseer of European club football.

There are probably dudes that they think they’re cool with if Arsenal or Chelsea are in for them, but it hurts their pride to see Wolves or West Ham in on them

The top teams in other countries spend just as much as the prem, they just spend it terribly.
Juventus wage bill would be the 2nd highest in the prem.
Bayern, Madrid, Barca all have wages bills higher than anyone in the premier league.
La Liga in particular have allowed tv deals that don't allow for their middle clubs to progress because it's so weighted to wards the big 2/3. Maybe they should fix their own house first?
Perhaps they should fix the issues they all have with attendances neither Spain or Italy have more than 8 clubs averaging over 30,000 a game, the prem has 15. As many as them both combined
Premier League is responsible for only 5 of the 15 €100m transfer fees
The premier leagues smallest wage bill (Brentford, £15m) is smaller than Serie As (Cremonese 17m) and only 500k more than La Ligas (Almeria).500k more than Budesliga(Bochum)
