A new Florida law changes how cars can be sold in the Sunshine State, hampering the nation's largest automakers while boosting electric vehicle makers.
Gov. Ron DeSantis this week approved HB 637, which bars legacy automakers from offering a direct-to-consumer or online sales option if the company already sells vehicles in the state through dealership. That means companies with existing car lots — like Ford and General Motors — are included in the ban.
Tesla got an exclusion from this

It’s worse than that and the focus on Tesla is a distraction technique we need to stop helping spread.
The entire electric car industry got an exclusion. This is government sanctioned bullshite meant to hurt the fossil fuel market. Anyone who supports it is not a free market capitalist or conservative and should be rightly called out for it.
It’s worse than a subsidy. It’s government unnecessary intrusion into the market. We have enough laws on the books. I’d support any candidate who pledges not to sign anything into law and not to increase spending by a penny no matter what.
