$1000 watches aren’t high end or expensive…but they can get you style you’re looking for, if you’re attracted to something more heirloom or expensive. Look at enough nice ones and you can cobble together something in the $1000 range that gets you down that road. Here’s my daily wearer.
I save my nice strap for occasions and put it on a NATO. Just ordered a new one yesterday.

Ya, this purchase is just to get me something that will be a daily wear and starter... that's real close to what I;m thinking for right now.
