to a certain extent the humidity softens the ball and adds to the "trampoline effect" coming off the bat.
but like everything else, there is a point where this kolonger helps.
Too Humid and the air becomes to thick and restrictive limiting the flight of the ball.
Too dry and while the air creates less friction, the ball doesn't have that "bounce" coming off the bat.
