You don't have to "abolish" the FBI, and Ted Cruz should be smart enough to speak in a language that actually puts fear in their hearts. If he said, "You have 48 hours to produce the information that I am demanding on behalf of the people of Texas and the United States. If you do not produce that information within 48 hours, I will filibuster every single budget proposal that does not cut the FBI budget by 50%."

There is more than a few Senators who would support that filibuster, and the FBI might realize that they will have a hard time doing the marxist democrat bidding at half staff.
