This is my only fear involving death. I couldn't imagine waking up in a coffin, especially while buried.

Stories such as these make me wonder how common it is to be buried alive.

Scary stuff.

In the U.S.? 0% for a normal person. They embalm you first. Don't think your heart will still tick when it's pumping that fluid in lieu of blood.


Now if you live out in the country somewhere, and your family just sticks you in a box and buries you without telling anyone?

Supposedly 7% of burials are premature. A lot of people are buried alive. Maybe better than being cremated prematurely.
