I made this point in another message but it’s unheard of for an all-time great going up against another all-time great who is 16 years younger than them and come out on top. In fact, they usually get decimated.

What Djokovic retires, Carlito is gonna be feasting on a lost generation of tennis stars that only exists to fill a void.
I would say only a guy like Medvedev even stands a chance to upend him in most tournaments but CAG has destroyed him a few times already

I really don't think that's going to happen. That would mean there would only be one all-time great player born between the years 1988-2008. Just the simple mathematics say that's not going to happen especially after tennis experienced a huge growth in popularity with the Big 3 in the late 2000s and early 2010s. There's going to be another all-time great who will come along soon to challenge Alcaraz.
