Carter won in '76. I think Clinton won re-election in '96 legitimately. Obama won in '08. That was a once in a lifetime wave that McCain being a horrible candidate just helped.

Clinton in '92 would not have won if not for Perot. Obama in '12 was the beginning of the Dem machine that was built when he won in '08. Trump '16 was the GOP version of Obama '08.

Perot was the best of the three. Complaining that p.o.s. Bush lost is like complaining that a car accident took your right leg instead of your left.

Naw, 2020 was Trumps best election cycle. It literally took a coup to stop him from retaining the presidency despite receiving 12 MILLION more votes than in '16.

Newt Gingrich got Clinton RE-elected.

I don't even mean that as a slam on Gingrich. It was, what it was, though.

Maybe that's why congressional republicans no longer really do ANYTHING, but I still appreciate Newt and his vision at the time.
