I have a corded Old Timer with Mr Twister blades that stays on my boat. It's inexpensive and works well.

I've never felt the need to go cordless. If I filet fish, it's at the dock fish cleaning station, at my camper if I'm camping at the lake, or at my house. I do keep 2 traditional filet knives on the boat as backups.

I did not either, but mine was a gift, and in some places, the cord really irritates me if i cannot plug it in where it won't get in my way.
